Mag Water Rescheduled

Mag Water Canceled: We have two to three days of rain forecasted for the middle of next week, which is when we were planning to apply mag water. What happens if it rains during the application or immediately after application? The mag water would not have time to set and would simply wash away. That would be approximately $11,000 to $12,000 gone. Instead, we will regroup to see if 1) it makes sense to reschedule OR
2) we can apply the money to something equally important.

Upper Tollgate Canyon Road: Why hasn't the collapsing roadway been patched up? Primarily, it is because we are seeking to understand what type of material is beneath the asphalt and in the stream bed, along the entire length of Tollgate Canyon Road. We have solicited bids to replace the visibly degraded areas of asphalt, but if we skip the research, we may end up with the same issue in the next couple years. Please be patient as we approach this situation with an eye to the future.

Tollgate Canyon Road Update

Culverts: In August, Rykstone Construction will be closing the entrance to Hillcrest at Tollgate Canyon Road in order to install approximately 110 feet of 36-inch concrete culvert pipe. These pipes will replace the twin 24-inch corrugated metal pipes currently underneath the road that have clearly seen better days. Delivery of culverts started today. So, if anyone is trying to park in this area, this weekend might be a good time to relocate your vehicle. (7/29/23)
Depending on the timing of deliveries, Rykstone will also be working further up Tollgate Canyon Road installing 208 feet of 24-inch concrete culvert pipe along the east side of the road. You can see the targeted installation points on the attached map.
